This field study intends to determine the nature, scale and patterns of FGC and its social determinants in selected areas, understand the perceived harmful and/or bene cial e ects associated with the various types of FGC practiced within Indonesian communities., and determine possible interventions to end the practice of FGC based upon the ndings of the study.
