Elhak Center for Democracy and Human Rights is a civilian company working in the field of democracy and human rights and the Center seeks to consolidate the concepts of democracy, tolerance and acceptance of others in addition to helping create new generations of lawyers and journalists able to lead and monitor the process of democratic transition in Egypt. They seek to improve the knowledge of citizens and raising their legal awareness and improve the level of their information regarding the country public affairs; to educate the citizens and the journalists with regard to their right to receive and impart information; the defense of freedom of opinion and expression and freedom of thought and research, and the citizens’ right to receive and transfer official information; and the cooperation with other local and international organizations and associations interested to the same question and which goals converge with theirs.
