Based in Montreal (Canada) since 1994, the International Bureau for Children’s Rights (IBCR) is an international non-governmental organisation whose mission is to contribute to the promotion and protection of children’s rights around the world. The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is the foundation of IBCR’s work. The IBCR is inspired by the principles laid down by the international community and has had special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2005.
