  • African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR)

    The African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR) is a quasi-judicial body tasked with promoting and protecting human rights throughout Africa. In addition to performing any other tasks which may be entrusted to it by the Assembly of Heads of State and Government, the Commission is officially charged with three major functions: the protection of human and peoples’ rights, the promotion of human and peoples’ rights, and the interpretation of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights.

    Amazon Watch is a nonprofit organization founded in 1996 to protect the rainforest and advance the rights of indigenous peoples in the Amazon Basin. We partner with indigenous and environmental organizations in campaigns for human rights, corporate accountability and the preservation of the Amazon’s ecological systems.

  • Americans for Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain (ADHRB)

    Americans for Democracy & Human Rights in Bahrain (ADHRB) fosters awareness of and support for democracy and human rights in Bahrain and the Middle East.

  • Andean Information Network (AIN)

    The AIN promotes human rights and socioeconomic justice in Bolivia and more humane and effective illicit drug control policies. AIN provides information and analysis to NGO colleagues, the media and international policymakers on developments in Bolivia and the impact of U.S. government and European policies. Working closely with civil society organizations in Latin America and in the United States, AIN promotes policy dialogue and the development of pragmatic alternatives that address the underlying economic, social, political and cultural needs of Bolivia.

  • Arab Foundation for Freedoms and Equality (AFE)

    The Arab Foundation for Freedoms and Equality (AFE) works to encourage and support sexuality, gender and bodily rights’ movements in the Middle East and North Africa through capacity building, knowledge production, exchange, and security and emergency response.

  • Arab Institute for Human Rights (AIHR)

    The Arab Institute for Human Rights is an independent Arab non-governmental organization based in Tunisia.The Arab Institute for Human Rights aims to promote a culture of civil, political, economic, social and cultural human rights, as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and international conventions, and to strengthen the values of democracy and citizenship.They seek to do this through training, education, research, utilizing media resources, strengthening civil society, providing expertise, facilitating the exchange of information, and promoting the culture of women’s and children’s rights.

  • Arabic Network for Human Rights Information (ANHRI)

    The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information (ANHRI) depends on the internet to free the activities of human rights organizations from the restrictions they now face. They hope to give these organizations a megaphone to magnify their voices in country and in the region. ANHRI collects the publications, campaigns, reports, and statements of the various human rights organizations, so that the daily product of those organizations is available in one place, updated daily. ANHRI is not only a means of exchanging information, but also a place to archive that information so that it remains available to Arabic readers in any part of the world.
