TRIAL (Track Impunity Always) is a tax-exempt association under Swiss law based in Geneva. It is apolitical and non-confessional and has consultative status before the United Nations Economic and Social Council. Comprising lawyers, NGO leaders and victims, the association was founded in 2002, right at the moment when the Rome Statute establishing the International Criminal Court entered into force and four years after the arrest of General Pinochet in London, which had inspired the founders of the NGO. The main objective of TRIAL is to put the law at the service of the victims of international crimes (genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, torture and forced disappearances).
