Limited inquiries in response to complaints received by Transparency Vanuatu suggest that over the last 10 years the operation of the judicial system, and particularly the courts, has deteriorated to the point where hundreds of cases have not been dealt with in any depth, judgements never given, and the management of cases has come to halt for unexplained reasons.
