El Salvador is a country with social and economic indicators that show a great disadvantage toward indigenous populations. Unsurprisingly, this often causes people to move from the rural country side to the city proper, but there is still high inequality in terms of income, with only a small percentage of the country’s population acquiring the greatest wealth.
